Our Trip to Spokane

My husband and I went to Spokane over the weekend to take the GMAT test for him to get into grad school. While we were there we had the opportunity to see our brand new niece Lailie; we were so excited to see her and are glad that she is doing well, she is really tiny and so sweet. Also, we went out to dinner with Brett, Beckie and baby Claire we had a great time with them and were happy to see them. We also saw Tyson’s best friend Kyle and his family; it was their daughters’ first birthday so we went to the party, visited with them and had some great pizza and cake.

Employee of the month

I found out on Saturday that I am the employee of the month for December, the reason why they told me so late it is because they didn’t have the apple trophy that comes with this title, but I am just really excited about it. I am honored to be recognized in this way and there are some cool prizes that I get as well like bonus money and a gift certificate for Applebee’s of course. And needless to say I am really PROUD of myself.

Bulgarian Blog

Yesterday I created a new blog, it is in Bulgarian, and I am really exited about it. I have wanted to make one for a long time because most of my family doesn’t know English; but I wasn’t able to write in Cyrillic until I got web-site from a friend, which I can use for that purpose. You can check it out even if you don’t understand it, just out of curiosity. Enjoy!

What am I reading right now

My husband gave me Sherlock Holmes the complete novels and stories for my birthday knowing that I am big fan and I LOVE it. I haven’t really read the book before, but saw the filmed versions of Mr. Holmes adventures and I was fascinated of his methods and his cleverness. Everybody knows that I really enjoy those kinds of things; I watch all the criminal shows on TV and even dreamed of becoming a detective when I was little. But any how it is great book and I highly recommended it.

Christmas

For the first time it was just the two of us for Christmas this year. Tyson didn’t have much time off so we decided to stay home. On Christmas Eve we did some Bulgarian traditions like having an odd number of meatless dishes. One of them was bread with a coin in it, and whoever gets the part with the coin will be really fortunate in the upcoming year (I was the lucky one). We went to Leavenworth on Christmas day just for a little bit we took a walk in the snow, visited some of the shops, and took some pictures. We had really good Christmas this year but we did miss our families a lot, but we were thinking of you and hope you had a great holiday and hopefully we will be together next year.

Holiday Season

Today Tyson and I decorated our Christmas tree for the fourth time together. I always love decorating the tree because it brings back so many wonderful memories of home. I also love this time of year because of the lights, the snow, the Christmas songs, and the presents. I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
