Bulgaria 2007

We had such a good time on our trip, and we are thankful for the time we had with my family and for everything they did to make us feel comfortable and loved. Here are some more pictures from out trip.

Fun in the sun

We just got home and we already miss Bulgaria; but we still want to share some memories from our trip. The day before we came home we went to the Village again with the family. We had an awesome lunch with my grandparents, which consisted of Bulgarian salads and baked lamb. After lunch we rode bicycles to a near by river to swim; after that we just sat around an listened to my grandma tell stories about me and my little sister, I think that was the best part for Tyson because he is still teasing me about some of the stuff my grandma said.

Um…White Meat Anyone?

On Aug 12-13, Tyson and I went to the Black Sea on a romantic vacation. We haven’t been there in four years, so it was nice to get back to the sea to get some sun (which Tyson badly needed, as you can see). We didn’t really do much except swim and eat. Anyways here are some pictures, will tell you more about it when we get home.

Engagement Party

On Aug 11, Tyson and I attended my sister’s engagement party; like any Bulgarian party there was plenty of food, dancing, and booze. It was really good to get the Bulgarian family together to catch up on each other’s lives and just to get to know each other a little better. I think that by the end of the night Eric (my sister’s fiancĂ©) had officially become a part of the Bulgarian family. It was a good party and it brought back many memories of when Tyson and I got married in Bulgaria.

Etar

On Aug 10th, Tyson and I went to a traditional Bulgarian village called Etar with my sister and her fiancé. The village depicts Bulgarian life in the 19th century; we thought it was quite interesting how things were made over here during that time and how the same things were being done in America. The most interesting thing about the village was that there were people actually working and selling homemade items just like they were doing it back in the day. Here are some pictures from our trip.

The Black Sea

Last week my sister Desi and I went to the Black Sea. It was great. I love the sea and Varna is really pretty city. I got sunburn, but other than that everything was fine. We did many things mostly swiming, tanning and window shopping. I just feel blessed to be able to spend this time with my cute little sister.
