My First Talk
Today I had my first talk in church in America. I know for all of you it is not a big deal, but for me it was; it is surprising that after 4 years in the country there are still things like this that I do for the first time. My talk was titled “Live by faith and not by fear,” it was nerve-racking and I shared the story about my conversion and started crying, which was the last thing I was planning to do, but it was all well and everybody said they liked my talk so, it turn out great.

My sister is here
My sister arrived in L.A. Tuesday night; I am so excited that she is here, even though she is not close to us. I have talked with her a few times and she is doing really good she is getting used to everything and getting to know Eric’s (her fiancĂ©) family. Its lots of fun talking to her and asking her what she thinks of everything, I do know it is overwhelming. I can’t wait to see her at her wedding and to spend this special time with her.

Finally, I Have a Job!
I started working at Applebee’s last week as a hostess. It is easy and fun and I really like the people I work with; it is good to finally have something to do.

We had such a good time on our trip, and we are thankful for the time we had with my family and for everything they did to make us feel comfortable and loved. Here are some more pictures from out trip.

Fun in the sun
We just got home and we already miss Bulgaria; but we still want to share some memories from our trip. The day before we came home we went to the Village again with the family. We had an awesome lunch with my grandparents, which consisted of Bulgarian salads and baked lamb. After lunch we rode bicycles to a near by river to swim; after that we just sat around an listened to my grandma tell stories about me and my little sister, I think that was the best part for Tyson because he is still teasing me about some of the stuff my grandma said.

Um…White Meat Anyone?
On Aug 12-13, Tyson and I went to the Black Sea on a romantic vacation. We haven’t been there in four years, so it was nice to get back to the sea to get some sun (which Tyson badly needed, as you can see). We didn’t really do much except swim and eat. Anyways here are some pictures, will tell you more about it when we get home.
Engagement Party
On Aug 11, Tyson and I attended my sister’s engagement party; like any Bulgarian party there was plenty of food, dancing, and booze. It was really good to get the Bulgarian family together to catch up on each other’s lives and just to get to know each other a little better. I think that by the end of the night Eric (my sister’s fiancĂ©) had officially become a part of the Bulgarian family. It was a good party and it brought back many memories of when Tyson and I got married in Bulgaria.
